When a box is large but light, dimensional (volumetric) weight can exceed the actual weight, and you pay on the larger figure. This billable weight calculator accepts actual scale weight, package length, width, and height, plus your carrier’s dimensional-weight divisor, then returns dimensional weight, the billable result, and whether rating should follow actual or dimensional rules. Optional round-up matches whole-unit ceiling policies common in rate cards. The same pure logic powers the free browser widget and the API, so storefronts, WMS tools, and rate engines never disagree on a simple max of two numbers. Units stay caller-consistent: use inches and pounds with divisors such as 139 or 166, or centimetres and kilograms with 5000, without silent conversion.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.

Published price — no tokens, no invented credits. A failed task is never charged.

Errors

HTTP	Code	Meaning
`401`	`unauthorized`	Missing or invalid API key.
`402`	`insufficient_balance`	Your balance doesn't cover the task price.
`404`	`unknown_type`	That task type doesn't exist.
`429`	`rate_limited`	Too many requests. Use the webhook instead of polling.
