This flower bulb calculator multiplies plantable bed area in square feet by planting density in bulbs per square foot, optionally applies a waste or overplant percent for edges and losses, then rounds up so you order whole bulbs you can actually plant. The same pure arithmetic powers the free browser widget and the paid API, so landscape quotes, shopping lists, and batch material takeoffs never disagree on whether a hundred-square-foot bed at five bulbs per foot needs five hundred or five hundred one. Use supplier density tables for tulips, daffodils, crocus, alliums, and other spring or summer bulbs, or convert recommended spacing into density before you call the endpoint.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
