Greatest common factor calculator

The greatest common factor of two or more whole numbers is the largest integer that divides every one of them without a remainder.

Elementary and middle-school programs introduce that idea as GCF before they rename it greatest common divisor in later number theory. Students list factor pairs, circle the overlap, and check that the leftover of each division is zero. This school calculator accepts two or more positive whole numbers, runs the Euclidean algorithm so large classroom examples stay exact, and returns the GCF together with every shared factor, the reduced quotients, and a short identity you can write next to a worksheet. Teachers, parents, and homework platforms get the same deterministic answer the free browser widget produces. Failed input is not billed. Every successful API call costs $0.002.
