Metric to inch tire size converter

A size such as 265/75R16 names the section width in millimetres, the sidewall as a percent of that width, and the rim in inches. A size such as 31x10.50R15 names overall diameter and section width in inches on the same rim. This metric to inch tire size converter applies the exact 25.4 millimetre inch both ways, prints diameter and width in both unit systems, and optionally compares a second size so you can see whether a catalog flotation tire is actually equivalent or only close. The same pure geometry powers the free browser widget and the API path: no network lookup, no random drift, and no warehouse list pretending that 31x10.50 is the only legal answer for a 265/75R16.
