Hand arithmetic is error-prone when each correct answer is worth more than one mark or when a guessing penalty subtracts a fraction of a mark per wrong choice. This multiple choice exam score calculator accepts those counts, optional marks per question, and an optional penalty for incorrect answers, then returns raw points, maximum possible score, percentage, and accuracy figures you can paste into a gradebook or LMS. Blank questions earn zero and are never penalized, matching standard formula-scoring practice. The same pure logic powers the free browser widget and the API path, so classroom checks and automation never disagree on the number that decides a pass or a scaled rank.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.

Per request$0.002

Published price — no tokens, no invented credits. A failed task is never charged.

Errors

HTTP	Code	Meaning
`401`	`unauthorized`	Missing or invalid API key.
`402`	`insufficient_balance`	Your balance doesn't cover the task price.
`404`	`unknown_type`	That task type doesn't exist.
`429`	`rate_limited`	Too many requests. Use the webhook instead of polling.
