A billion-to-trillion converter performs that scale change in one exact step: it divides the billions figure by one thousand, because under the short-scale naming used in modern English, American finance, and most international statistics one trillion equals one thousand billion. This tool accepts a finite number of billions, returns the equivalent in trillions together with the conversion factor and the formula, and rejects anything that is not a finite number instead of inventing a result. The same pure function powers the free browser widget and the API, so a journalist checking GDP, an analyst restating market cap, and a script normalizing budget rows never disagree. Hosted calls are billed at $0.002 per successful conversion; invalid input is not charged.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
