Butter sticks to cups converter

This butter sticks to cups converter turns a count of US sticks of butter into US cups using the printed half-cup-per-stick mark on a standard American butter wrapper so cookie batches, pie crusts, and cake batters stay consistent when a recipe lists cups and the box in the fridge is marked in sticks.

One US stick is exactly one half cup of butter: two sticks fill one cup, four sticks fill two cups, and a half stick is one quarter cup. Enter a non-negative number of sticks — whole sticks, halves, quarters, or any finite decimal — and the engine multiplies by one half, then returns cups, the cups-per-stick factor, a short formula string, and a human-readable message you can paste into a recipe note. Everything is pure arithmetic with no network calls, no sampling, and no date-dependent shortcuts, so recipe apps, meal-prep sheets, and CI fixtures get the same numbers every time. Use it free in the browser while scaling a family cookie sheet or a bakery production card, or call the API at $0.002 per successful request when your product must convert butter sticks to cups without re-implementing the half-cup-per-stick relationship.
