Provide the total audio duration plus a start and end timestamp in seconds, and this tool validates that the requested range belongs to the recording before calculating the exact clip duration. It rejects an end time that comes before the start, any timestamp beyond the available audio, negative values, missing fields, and non-finite numbers. No audio is uploaded or changed: the result is a deterministic range calculation that can be used to prepare an editor command, validate a form, check chapter boundaries, or test a media pipeline before costly processing starts.

The API is asynchronous: the call returns a task_id immediately and the result arrives by webhook. Polling is capped at 1 req/s per task.
