Tabletop RPG damage lines, board-game attack charts, virtual tabletop macros, and homework problems all write rolls as compact strings such as 2d6, 3d8+2, 1d20+1d4−1, or d%. Designers and players need the full reachable band before they debate probabilities or average damage: if the floor is too low or the ceiling too high, the table feels wrong long before anyone cares about the mode. The engine tokenizes NdS dice terms and signed constants, applies the fair-die face model one through sides, and adds each term’s contribution to a global minimum and maximum—no Monte Carlo sampling, no network calls, and no date-dependent shortcuts. Classic checks include 2d6 from two through twelve, 3d6+2 from five through twenty, and a bare d20 from one through twenty. Use it free in the browser for session prep and homebrew balancing, or call the API at $0.002 per successful request when you need reproducible range fixtures in CI, character builders, or teaching demos.
